Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Re: Lest We Forget
I won't ever forget but it seems that many in our great country have. And that is just one reason why I don't watch the NFL or any sports for that matter. I don't even want to start on the protesters who are out to destroy our country and tear down our statues in history and burn our flag.. They are sickening. Covid 19 ain't got nothing over on them.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Yes, never forget. I have a hat I bought right after which has FDNY on the front and the date 9-11-01 stitched on the back. It’s my tradition to wear this haT every September 11th. My wife just commented to me that she wondered if the protesters would take the day off out of respect of the souls lost on this tragic day. My answer was.......... well you know.

Re: Lest We Forget
I had taught that morning, and was working day patrol, rather than my normal evening patrol shift. I had stopped by the communications center and actually saw the first plane hit on replay on a news break on the wall monitor in the center. I went down the hall and called the Chief into communications, and he saw the replay, then the second plane hit.
I started calling Officers in to secure the Government Buildings while the Chief went up to meet with the County Manager and Board of Supervisors. He called down five minutes later, and we went to Condition Red. A couple key strokes, every security door Countywide now required a key or card access. That day, changed the country forever. We all looked at things differently.
For the first time in our County's history, we had armed officers controlling entry at public buildings.
