Beautiful spot, Jim, really seems to check all the boxes, doesn't it? You're well on your way to putting your imprint on the details that will make the homestead truly yours.

Thanks for sharing, and look forward to updates along the way!

It does seem to meet our needs. We are slowly going thru and fixing the items you discover when you move into a new place. I have replaced all four locksets, doorknobs and deadbolts. (Standard practice for me for years, although if they were new, I usually pulled them and had them rekeyed.) These... were really old.

Had to replace a light fixture in the master bedroom closet. Looked fairly new, just died. Cheap quality.

There are a few other projects on the list

I am going to have to add shelves to the shop, locks to a couple new buildings when they are delivered, and organize the woodshop once the excess storage is out. When the She Shop and Range House are delivered, a lot of space will free up in the garage, boathouse, and woodshop as the items temporarily stored there go home.

Your new home looks wonderful. Wish I lived further away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle.

There is a small "ghost" town with nothing more than a post office about four or five miles from us. Another small town with a gas pump and a quick stop... About ten miles. The nearest town of any size is about twenty minutes. It has hospitals, home depot and the works.

Sounds like a perfect location living in the country but not too far from the places you may need to visit.
Have you laid out any plans for your range location?
