Range fun rerun....Henry .44 Mag Carbine

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Jun 29, 2020 2:25 pm

Too hot to shoot today and I'm not cleared for range duty yet so how about a summertime rerun!
Loved shooting those little pumpkins with those hot 180 gr XTP .44 Mag bullets. These were from Underwood but I did make my own load using same bullet with 24.5 gr. of Alliant 2400 running in the 1880 FPS range.
Nice little blasters they are! CAUTION... wear your face shield to protect from fling pumpkin!!

Well some days good and some feel a bit weak. This morning I got on the Kubota and cut the grass around the home and then took my Mustang out for a drive which made me feel real good! Then after lunch the tiredness hit but after a nap feel better now.
Doctor appointment Wednesday and maybe he can figure it out. Haven't been down to my range since June 15th but feels like a month.

You just hang in there forty. You'll whip this stuff. Have confidence in that.
