Re: Guess what I just ordered...
As I await news of the 1885 high wall ETA from Uberti/Taylors, I noticed Taylors shows this in stock....
https://taylorsfirearms.com/catalog/pro ... tegory/64/
I have been ogling it for a few days and asked my dealer to inquire. I actually did originally order a low wall but with straight stock, then changed to a high wall after hearing the 45 colts were drying up in low walls. The pistol grip kind of grows on ya and may be very comfortable to shoot. It is a very nice rifle if they actually have it on the shelf. We'll see, should have some news this week either way. If I wait any longer the buffalo will be all gone.

Never shot a pistol grip rifle before. What is it like to shoot off hand or from 1 knee I wonder?

Hey All,
Well if you are after bison in BC remember you must have at least a 175 grain bullet and enough velocity to retain 2000 ft/lbs energy at 100 meters. You see the BC government knows what you need better than anybody from the 1800s 1900s or today. Right?
So where exactly is that Taylor/Uberti at with respect to that? Maybe Alberta bison are easier to kill.
Anyway hope you get that rifle soon!! Go ahead get both!
