Just ordered a Henry 24" Frontier and it will probably take several days to get here so I am wondering if the stock front sight will work with a Williams FP that I already have. If not I would like to place an order with Skinner so that will both be here about the same time.
Thanks
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Re: Frontier Front Sight
Kinda need to wait until you know the front sight height on the new rifle so you can calculate if it will work - or 'calculate' it on the range with a few rounds!I am wondering if the stock front sight will work with a Williams FP that I already have.
I would not order a sight for a rifle you do not have and don't know if the stock one will work or not - as it just might!

Re: Frontier Front Sight
I believe the Williams FP sight is receiver specific. It might not fit on the rifle itself. But since you already have it nothing is lost.

Re: Frontier Front Sight
Jack,
You will need a Williams FP GR, for the 3/8s dove tail on the receiver.
Most I've seen have put the globe front sights on their Henry Long Barrel Frontiers.
I would not recomend Skinner sights for Silhouette.

The one I have fits on the reciever. After a little further thought I think I will put a Skinner blade up front and adjust with file when it all comes together.
Thanks

Re: Frontier Front Sight
As a comparison.
My H001T has a Williams AG FP/tk with an extended elevation screw, using the Stock front site and I can target 100 yard Rams with CCI Suppressor ammo with at 950fps listed mv.
Marbels 3/16 bead sights at100 meter+ targets don't look like a manhole covers.
