Portable Reloading Press
we are home and I am once again thinking about rigging up a portable reloading station that I can use both at home and while we are traveling .... as of this second, I'm strongly considering going with a Hornady Lock-N-Load Classic Reloading Press ===> https://www.amazon.com/Hornady-085010-L ... r=1-2&th=1 .... emotionally, I keep going back to a Rock Chucker but the $70 difference will more than pay for most of the other items I will need to purchase .... all-in-all, it appears that I need to bring an end to the theorizing and order a press .... the reality is to come up with a buildable design for the portable station I need to have the press in hand

If it was me and I ordered another press it would be a turret type press to keep all the dies I wanted in the turret. But thats just me to each there own.

Re: Portable Reloading Press
no doubt a turret press would offer advantages .... a Lee brand turret is the only one I've found that isn't a good deal more expensive .... the problem with that press is (Per Lee) it cannot be used to load some of the ammo that I use

Re: Portable Reloading Press
What ammo are you wanting to reload that can't be done on a Lee Classic Turret? I have one and load 30-06 with it.

300 WBY Mag .... they require a considerable amount of pressure to resize and are a couple of tenths too long .... in addition, I'm most comfortable with a single stage pressclovishound wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 1:50 amWhat ammo are you wanting to reload that can't be done on a Lee Classic Turret? Re: Portable Reloading Press
The Lee turret is pretty handy and works well. Of course I only do one caliber but if I got into 45-70, I can see the advantage of just swapping turrets.

Read this on the Lee Sight.300 WBY Mag .... they require a considerable amount of pressure to resize and are a couple of tenths too long .
"Deactivate the Auto index feature and you can batch reload the longest rifle cartridges"
I use a Hornady lnl.
