Restoring a teak garden table
Having time available, more than usual, with the rules of confinement at home,
I undertook to restore a teak garden table, which had stayed too long in the winter rain.
A friend who leaves her house to live in an apartment in town sold it to me for a very nice price
Upon arrival at home:
I initially thought to trade with steel wool, then finer iron wool, but it clogged the wool too quickly.
So change of strategy:
Bleach + brush water
Let act for a while
Scratching jex pad
A little muscular vigor (not sure for translation )
First day :
The left side is cleaned, the right side impregnated with bleach, until the next day.
the feet and the underside of the tray have already been cleaned, then passed with teak oil.
Second day :
The left part has dried, and the right part is cleaned, but completely wet.
We let everything dry before going to the iron wool
The rest, tonight

"A little muscular vigor." Perfect statement, quite understood.
And your wood restoration is looking very good so far!

Restoring a teak garden table - Day 4
I brushed the teak oil, a first layer, but I think that for the moment, there will not be 36, because I have almost no more, and it will be very difficult to buy them and have them delivered to your home ...
It will wait a little ... or a lot ... depending on the situation.
We seem to have gone for a long..long.. stay at home ...
Stay safe, guys !

.
Well done! I have an outdoor bench that needs to be done. Someday, maybe, you could come to my house ('house call') and do my bench for me.

I have that exact table. Came with chairs and a bench all teak.
Mine needs that same treatment again.
