Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Rifle and wrap look good Al. I loaded up the last of my .357/180gr, just haven't had the chance to get to the gun shop for my new box from Missouri.
Got a friend with a Marlin in .41 mag. Think I'll ask what his load is. Stay tuned. Gonna start getting some chicken wings ready for baking and having a beer or two or......

May do another 50 tonight of the 250's. I am running out of room in the cabinets though. Guess I better start shooting....

Al, what is your load for .41 mag? Got a load you might like. Hornady XTP 210gr, 9.0gr Unique. Or, same bullet, 17.0gr 2400. What do ya think?

Right now Tom 2400 with that xtp bullet loaded 5 at 17.5 gr of 2400 and 5 at 18gr of 2400. Gonna test those this weekend. The SWC are loaded with 8 grain of Unique and they shoot very good. I also have been usin the extreme 210 FP bullet with that same 8 gr of Unique.

Anyone try Unique with the .357 Mag 180 Pug? May be awhile before 2400 shows up at my LGS. Heck I have to call and see if he is going to be open!

Hmm, sounds like a plan. Gonna have to look into that! Today's homework!

Al, those loads look good. Very close to the one's I got from another shooter.

RR, Unique is a very good powder for the .45 Colt, and just about anything else, really. But, your Universal load works mighty well!

Lots of advantages to it.
Medium burn speed, good density for case fill and a wide range of application.

Some complain about it being 'dirty' and it is, a bit, depending on the round its used for but it was improved several years ago to a smaller flake size which helps cleanliness as well as metering.

There's a reason it's been around since 1898 - and why an eight lb. jug is under my loading bench!
