another cool, cloudy day with steady breeze out of the north, northwest .... the good news is, only a 10% chance of rain .... in addition to finishing our setup, most of our morning was spent taking care of our Daughter's Federal and State Income Taxes .... happy to say, she came out well .... while the process isn't complicated, we are always relieved when we complete hers and ours .... its supposed to be warmer tomorrow and we are looking forward to getting out and about a bit

we have thoroughly enjoyed the last few days with their delightfully warm temps in the low to mid 80's ..... we have friends originally from California and now home based in Oregon who are camped with us on the Colorado River near Columbus, TX .... they will be moving on to Louisiana on Thursday and we will truly hate to see them go .... over the years we've been blessed in meeting many such people .... doing so and then linking up with them again has become one of the highlights of our travels ....

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

the chili was great .... we got two meals out of the pot she cooked .... ugly but not terrible day .... warm, extremely humid with small showers every so often throughout the day .... we made a quick drive over to Columbus this morning to pickup a letter at their Post Office and to pick up a few items at HEB .... tomorrow morning we will make the same drive to place some papers in the mail .... one of the things we've learned over the years is taking care of snail mail can require some time and effort .... with us scheduled to move on Tuesday of next week, we will need to start breaking camp on Sunday

its hard to believe that we've already been camped on the Colorado River for 2 weeks and 1 week from today we are scheduled to move north to Granbury, TX .... the weather so far has been pretty evenly split between being outside and staying inside days .... having spent over 10 winters in Texas, that's not unusual .... today a drive to the Post Office in Columbus and spending some time walking in a different grocery store are on tap

absolutely no plans to set foot outside of our camper on this rainy, cold day .... on days like this having a comfortable place to sit and the ability to pass the time in activities we enjoy become very important .... the good news is, a warming, drying period is in the forecast .... they are calling for highs in the low 60's for the next couple of days, moving into the 70's over the weekend and low 80's on Monday

well, its here .... after the fog lifts this morning and it gets a bit warmer and with rain on its way, we need to begin breaking camp and packing things away .... down will come our deck and up will come the patio carpet .... time has proven that its best to store both while they are dry .... other than that, most of today will be spent watching the Daytona 500 and later on the season 5 premier of Outlander
