New Henry owner from Massachusetts

Post by masscajun » Sat Jan 11, 2020 11:21 am

Well, I finally went out and did it. Gifted myself a new Henry for Christmas. (Told my wife it was for my son. :D )There aren't many fine pieces of the gunmakers' artistry that stand up to the restrictive laws here in Mass, but this was one I just couldn't wait any longer for. What a gorgeous piece of work this Henry Big Boy is in 44 Rem Mag with the brass receiver and heavy octagonal barrel. I switched out the lever with the big loop for gloved hand shooting, and my son and I went right out to the range to try it. Really handles those big mag shells nice. Accurate as heck with the iron sights. No way I'll be touching it with a scope. Took my big S&W N-frame 44 Mag out with it to get a real kick. Just a whole lot of fun. Looking forward to this setup being my hog hunting rig. As a classic S&W revolver collector this fits right in.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.
