as I sit here looking out at a cool but beautiful morning in Texas, I couldn't help but look at the weather in South Dakota where we spend the summer .... its currently 8 degrees (Real Feel -8) on its way to a high of 19 later today .... I have a long standing and ever growing respect for family and other folks who don't just handle, they thrive living in such conditions .... with a visit to the shooting range at Blackwood Gun Club slated for tomorrow, a short trip to Conroe on tap for us today ...main stop will be at Walmart for targets and some other shooting supplies

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

yep, a 40% chance .... however, they do add the comment, "Considerable cloudiness. Occasional rain showers in the afternoon." .... we plan to shoot around 10AM .... hopefully we will be able do so ... if not, we will reschedule

my oooooops on shooting tomorrow .. .. we plan to go a week from tomorrow on Monday the 20th .... its kind of nice to be parked across from a truck that isn't a big brother but most certainly is of some distant kin to our ours .... its setup to haul a small car between the cab and the hitch .... this morning we drove down to Lowe's and Walmart in Conroe to pickup a few items .... most important items to me were some water filters and a can of Pb Blaster Penetrating Oil .... we have an excellent mobile RV repair fellow due to come by around 9AM to take care of a few issues that I simply can't handle any more .... on the plus side, warmer temps projected for each of the next 5 days .. 8-) .. on the minus side, rain in the forecast for each of the next 5 days .. :?

the weather finally cooperated and we've finished our campsite setup .... first time we've ever positioned our outside cooking area beside a site's picnic table .... doing so was necessitated by the slope of the site .... possible grocery run on tap for later today, we want to pick up a few items to get our grill in action

It rained most of the day here in Sugar Land. It just cleared up about 30 min ago. Hopefully it'll dry out with some sunny days ahead.

You guys might need your mud boots at the shooting range.
