Neighbor gave me a box full of these little 4 inch pumpkins and I thought they would make an interesting target.
So set up a board with 4 nails sticking up to anchor them down and back about 50 ft. with the .44 BBS Carbine and shooting these
hot Underwood 180 gr. XTP rounds I 've had for several years.
Man the Henry loves them and shoots them like a laser being able to hit pieces of pumpkin and boy do they pack a punch
traveling probably 1800 FPS out the rifle! What a pumpkin smasher!! https://youtu.be/2ckzPZCuAbE
I picked up a box of the same Hornady 180 gr. bullets today and will load up a batch using 24-25 gr. of 2400 to get close to same
ballistics as the Underwood. You guys might try the same if you haven't already.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I'm sure they would give a great blast! Almost need one of those face shields from the small chunks of pumpkin flying around.
