Severe weather here

Post by GunnyGene » Sat Jan 11, 2020 9:31 am

Gettin' ugly here. Power is down, got 1 tree down across my drive way now. Medium size pine, so chain saw time (again) later today. Local storm tracking on wtva - https://www.wtva.com/

Been raining like you know what here all morning, I do believe the worst has just past us though.
The yard looks like a small river, stay safe down there Gene.

Got a light dusting (less than 1/2) here in Dallas today. I'm sure the city will be paralyzed and folks hunkered down due to such 'severe weather.'
LOL.

Minus 30 overnight here. Had a foot of snow three days ago. Dangerous cold weather here expected for the next 10 days. Could get close to -40 over night.

On the upside, I leave for my cruise through the Panama Canal in less than a month!!

The worst of it is past now. No damage. Power is back on. Should stop raining around 1430, and I can get out and remove that pine tree from my driveway. Wife wanted me to do it 3 or 4 hours ago, but there was no way I was going out among all those trees with the wind blowing like it was.

Have a friend that lives close to St. Paul, his son lives in Bimidji MN and texted his dad around 8:30 this morning and said actual temp was -31°.

Glad I'm down here in TN dealing with the wind and rain, and ah ur 60° temps.
