Color Caseharden

Post by Benchloader » Fri Jan 10, 2020 11:21 am

Want to have the Receiver Cover of my H001 Color Casehardened; but no idea where/whom to send it to.

Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

Welcome to the forum from CT, Benchloader. As far as I know, the receiver covers on H001 rifles aren't a candidate for CCH treatment. They can be stripped and painted, though, which several members have done with great success.

Hello and welcome benchloader,
I striped mine then let it fade/tarnish a little then clear coated it.

Yep - it would wind up a melted blob in the bottom of the case hardening container!
