Wife's Grand Finale at the range

Post by bandit1250 » Thu Oct 10, 2019 10:46 am

Took my wife's Grand Finale to the range for some break in shots and to shoot different brands through it. Didn't have much time as there is a lot going on in the family right now. So I found out I don't like the trigger at 12-13 oz. I know off the bench she wouldn't like it as well as mine at 8-9 oz. It also had a hint of creep. So I shot it at 50 yds. anyway and would address the trigger issue the next day at home. It shot well for the first time out and I wasn't displeased with it at all. She was at work so she didn't get to shoot it but it is ready for when she can. Here is the targets with it from Tuesday.
The right target top left had a CCI round in the box with four RWS and I didn't know I had put it in the wrong box. Had a real bad flier with the different brand ammo in the wrong box. With a little more break in and some tuning the action screws I think she has a shooter. Better than mine first time out and now I have an idea about the ammo I want to try some more groups with. Probably shoot them all again with 5 five shot groups of each one.

Did not measure groups but they were consistent on dime size at 50 yds.

The center circle on the right target was thirteen shots with the first shot being fouled with the CCI at the top two targets went out side the dime size. That's normal when the barrel is fouled with a different brand ammo.

Very good shooting. I really like CZs, the most accurate rimfires I have.
