I believe BigAl is a new owner of that 38-55 Side-Loader. And he's probably not the only member here who has one.

Please keep us posted on your next steps! Sounds like you know where you're going!

Yeah...I think the old saying "different strokes for different folks" applies here.

I thought I wanted an old Winchester. And I guess in a way, I do.

But being more of a shooter and hunter, I just appreciate what Henry brings to the table. They are just so darn sweet shooting!

And so yes...I really do think I am going to make the switch. The M94 is neat, but I'd rather shoot a Henry.

Thanks to all for the therapy session. :)

...I gotta say, shooting the 45/70 Henry was a lot more satisfying than shooting the 32 Special Winchester.
... I think this Winchester needs to go down the road to make room for a 38/55 Henry!

Well, you could look for a Winchester in .38-55.

Well, I done did it good, now.

In the past month I have purchased:

1990 vintage Marlin 336 30-30
1954 vintage Winchester M70 in 257 Roberts
1957 vintage Savage M99 in 308
1967 vintage Remington 552 Speedmaster

I am in big trouble with the boss...and I haven't even bought that new Henry side loader yet!

When the app on her phone dinged and I had to confess to the latest (the Savage M99) she said...in that wifely way..."I really would feel better if you'd sell something"!

I thing that Winchester is really toast now!
