Easy Sunday plinking with Henry 22 Pump!

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Oct 06, 2019 6:07 pm

Wife and I made a trip to the range this afternoon and I brought along my Henry Pump to try out my simple sillywet animal rack.
Found my son's old key board stand in the attic during the big attic clean out and figured it make a nice light weight stand for some targets.

Was shooting CCI 22 LR CB loads so no hearing protection needed to make for some easy relaxed plinking on a Sunday afternoon!
I was about 12-15 yds from the targets...gallery plinking! https://youtu.be/vA6vYBb0vwU

In this second short video I wanted to hit the gong and also that small sized Pepsi bottle sitting on top of it from about 45-50 yds.
Surprised I got it on first shot for me and old eyes! Those CB's still pack a nice little punch at that distance and shoot flat too.
I zoomed in the picture using my ipad as camera so you might see that drink bottle.

Anyway you might have to turn up your volume a click since mic on ipad not that great.

Fun to get down there just to shoot a bit without any work to do!!! :D

Oh and I did bring my Henry BBS .44 Mag carbine along for back up....bears can be around...and did fire a couple full house
Magnum loads off at a couple targets!

Nice 40. I really like my Henry pump also which wears a red dot. Recently took it to range and busted up some clays on the bank.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That does look like fun. Thanks. We've had a week of miserable, cold and wet week for shooting. Need to get out in the yard for some of that CB plinking fun, too.
