Hunting with dogs was outlawed in Texas a long time ago.

Yes, I have lived in six different states ( Texas being one of them ), and to my best recollection, hunting deer with dogs was illegal in all of them.
Now, Bear is a different story. :)

A cousin hunts with a spear around the Yazoo County area. A compound and recurve bow got too easy for him. He used to shoot in bow competitions and did quite well. I’m planning on hunting around Philadelphia with an old school mate this year.

Here in BC we can hunt deer with dogs, but they must be leashed. Obviously there is the advantage of the dog smelling a deer you would never see, but there is the disadvantage of having the dog to deal with when you are ready to stalk the deer he found for you. You would want a second person to act as your dog handler so you were free to use your rifle or bow.

Deer season is right around the corner, so got my game cam set up yesterday to see what is dropping by my front yard. Busy place, I reckon on account of the blue plate special. ;) Time stamp is accurate.

Y'all know what the first pic is. This is about a 90yd shot from my shop door.

Not sure - a couple small pigs or 'coon? Might have to put up a sign.

Pretty sure it's a fox - seen it before during the day occasionally.

I need to get a better camera. This one is about 7 yo, and doesn't take good pics after dark.
