"Isn't that a Daisy"
Re: "Isn't that a Daisy"
I have a few Red Ryders including several Christmas Story Commemoratives that have "a compass in the stock and that thing which tells time." Here are 4 of them.
My favorite is the original Buck Jones Model 107 that I picked up a few years ago. It was the only model that Daisy made that did, in fact, have a compass and sundial in the stock.

I remember reading a story about the V/L many years ago.Daisy also made the V/L rifle, which is very collectible.
Pretty interesting but it came with more problems than Daisy was willing to deal with financially and they decided to not pursue it further by licencing to build firearms.
I am surprised they managed to sneak as many as they did 'under the wire' before the ATF ruling it a firearm.

I’m kind of surprised that they kept the dangerous action.... on my old gun you could fire it without returning the fore grip to the normal position, and the steel arms would slam closed like a guillotine. Very cool to see if your fingers where out of the way.

Had it laying on my leg while trying to cock it, my hand slipped and it pinched to you know what out of the leg.
Not funny at that time.
