Mark ~~ I wrote an inquiry to Victorinox SAK on June 27th.
No response yet, and it's getting closer to a month's wait now.
Such is the way of it.
At the moment, Old Red continues to be Old Red. ;)

Might try a phone call this next week.

Bob,
Cannot find where I wrote down the info but looked it up again:

Customer service # 800-442-2706

Victorinox Swiss Army Inc. ( VSA )
Attn. Service Dept.
7 Victoria Dr.
Monroe, CT 06468

They ask that you send $5.00 processing fee.

Hope that helps... :)

Go figure....found my original info right after I looked it up again. :D

I'm a bit surprised Bob. I must admit that it took a while to receive my new and old one back, once sent in.
My first move was to call them. Talked to a friendly young lady who told me what to do. I think the phone call is in order at this point. Don't give up, as they say " the squeaky wheel gets oil " . Hope that works for you! Let us know...good luck!

Hey, Mark,

Definitely the June 27th web inquiry to SAK has gone the way of the dodo. Today I followed up with another phone call, and did chat with a helpful fellow. I have all the info on how to submit, mailing address, fee, etc. I'll be sending off "Old Red" this week.

Got one very helpful piece of advice from the SAK rep. He said to be sure and mark Old Red as being a knife of "sentimental value." That is supposed to insure I get it back, either refurbished, or with a possible new knife replacement. Very good to know....Old Red and I have traveled to many places in the U.S., as well as international travel. A long-time helper! :D

Glad it seems like you are now going to get results Bob!
On the issue of sentimental value, I must have stated that when I sent my APT in because they did send it back along with a new one. There was a note included that said they were including my old one for that reason.
Good luck...hope everything works out to your satisfaction.

earlier today I gave our Sheffield 12-in-1 to our youngest son .... as noted earlier in this thread he takes our grandson back packing / tent camping a couple of times each year .... after looking at the Sheffield he was very happy with it and believes it will come in handy .... he's looking forward to field testing it and I'm looking forward to hearing his post use impressions
