Used JD garden tractor

Post by daytime dave » Sun Jun 30, 2019 2:50 pm

My step son closed on his house at the end of May. It's 14.5 acres. Three + are lawn and the rest woods full of game. Since this is his first place and I sold all of my mowers when I sold my parents place, he needed something capable of taking care of a lot of lawn. I stopped at a place on the way home from camp in very early April. They had a used John Deere 345 mower they had just gotten in. They agreed to store it for me until he closed on the place. The previous owners hadn't mowed yet this year, so I picked up the mower on his closing day. I got a used push mower for him too, just to make things easier on him.

He loves the machine and it does a great job. Both units were much needed and appreciated.

JDs are great tools. Plus they look cool.👍
Good job, "Dad," on your helpful gifts to your step-son. I have no doubt he's a very happy camper.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

So... the John Deere is for his wife when she mows, and the red one is for him when he mows? Yep, that sounds about right! LOL! :)

Step-Dad of the Year award goes to you, DD! Sounds like a great property and no doubt he's happy to have the equipment to keep it looking good!

I've been mowing 1.5 acres every 5 days for the past 4 years during the season with my John Deere D140, and it does the job.
