April 6th BP Plink'n

Well, I decided yesterday was going to be a black powder plinking day, kinda in remembrance of the anniversary of the battle of Shiloh which isn't very far from here.
So I pulled a couple of the colt copies, an 1851 Navy and the 1862, both in 44.
And also the 54 cal. Renegade, believe or not it's been sitting in the mancave loaded for over 2 years.
It went off without a hitch and slapped the big gong with authority. Hit the gong 2 out of the next 3 shots and then set up a paper target. I definitely ain't no RR.
Then I moved on to the pistolas, first the 1851. These were around 12-13 yds. First shot is the high center shot.
And last was the '62, first shot with it is the one closest to the center then I drifted upward, as you can see two off the paper.
One is just off the paper and the other right under the pistol on the pallet. These don't get shot very regular and it shows, but had fun and ringing the steel is always enjoyable.
I prefer the 1858 to these two as far as sights go and the ease in which they come apart to clean or even swapping cylinders for quicker reloads. But, I didn't get it out yesterday.
Think I'll try some regular cartridge stuff today.
Oh, I'd rather clean two rifles as to one revolver, so many more places to get to.
