Is there anyone out there that would love to see this in .44 SP?
I know the .357 Mag is a formidable round but a Henry just screams .44SP!
Thoughts?

NO. I can't pass the ugly. Or the price.........For the same price you can get a Smith or Ruger. They are where my .44 spl's are.

I won't be buying the Henry, but I would like to see Henry offer a 44 Special version simply because I would like to see the 44 Special become more popular. It's a great round, but right now I can find 44 mag much easier in our area and when I do find 44 Special, it's typically just in cowboy loads and not much cheaper than 44 mag.

It needs to be single action

As "cowboy" as Henry can be, I have no idea why they didn't make one that looked like a Colt or a Ruger Vaquero, for just two examples.

They appear to me to be like a 1950-60's 'Mayberry' police pistol. Not Cowboy western at all.

Well, after reading t(e 44 issues with rifles Iād say the revolver would be a tall order.

I fail to understand why this "single action" idea keeps coming up. I own several revolvers including a Colt S.A.A. 45. If I had to keep just one it would be one of the double action revolvers with the swing out cylinder that I can safely carry six rounds in and doesn't take forever to reload. H.R.A. is not stupid when it comes to marketing. A double action will sell a lot more than a single action. They want the most return for their great investment in design and tooling for a new product.

I agree, life is too short to buy ugly guns.

Travelin. I agree with your double action thoughts but its all about the cowboy idea. Doc Holiday didnt carry no S&W or a Colt. Just sayin
