New Henry H004 Golden Boy

Post by TRock » Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:20 pm

Haven't been on here for a long while, but traded my H001 in on a H004 yesterday. Probably won't be able to put it through it's paces until next weekend. Have a heartt cath coming up this week, and will hopefully start hitting on a few more cylinders. Really like the looks of the .22 for sure.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words and well wishes. I had 5 bypasses done 1n 1992 and a stent put in 4 years ago. Same symptoms as before, but blessed to have gotten the mileage that I have received from the initial surgery. No complaints.

I had a cardiac cath done several years ago, and I've always looked for the humor in day to day situations. Laying on the table waiting to start, I see the eyes of one of the techs get big and he quietly says, "paddles" to the other tech.
My heart skips a beat... :o

They came out with shocker ping pong paddles and began stalking around the OR!
:D

Seems my tech had spotted a fly. After a quick tandem hunt, one herded the fly into the other, a swing and a zap, a couple spritzes with disinfectant and a wipedown, and everything put away, everyone was back in position and almost at attention when the doc came in.

"He would have had a stroke if he had seen a fly in here." The tech told me after the special op. ;) We are golden now.

The doc comes in just two minutes later, smiles, greets me, looks at the lead.
"Another fly John?" The raised eyebrow above his mask nearly cracks me up.
"Don't look so stunned, I can smell the fresh antiseptic.". Everyone laughs...

He nods at the gaspasser and we begin.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

^^^^^^^

I’m still laughing. My brother is a surgery tech and he tells some pretty funny stories from the operating room.

I love a sense of humor. The Lord and a good sense of humor has gotten me through some tough times. The last stent I had put in the Cardiologist was briefing my wife and I on different possibilities. I ask the question , What the options of the procedure would be ? He said if you need one stent we will do that. If you need two we will do that. Then he said , if your wife wants me to pull the sheet over your head and roll you out , we can do that..lol Needless to say, I was very nice and polite to my wife until the procedure was over. Going in the morning, hopefully will have another story to tell.
