Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Just following this but could the magazine tube spring be weak not having the needed pressure to completely feed the last round?
I know on a 1911 pistol the last round feed issue is usually a weak mag spring. Just thinking here.

Hi guys. My 1st thought would be you don't have enough tension in your spring to push the last round where it needs to go. I 'd start w/a new tube, whether Anthony will give you one or you pick 1 up on line. Jerry

Just call customer service and request a new magazine tube and tell the representative why and you will be sent a new magazine tube. I called asking for a new o-ring for my magazine tube and was sent a new magazine tube at no charge. The folks at Henry are more than happy to please their customers.

I had the exact same problem with a Big Boy Brass in 357. They eventually sent me a new gun. I tested 10 rounds, everything was ok. Finally took it out to the range after 5 months, problem showed back up. I believe the mag rod spring got weak while sitting loaded (not chambered) for 5 months. I have a current thread in the centerfire subforum asking about aftermarket springs. Doesnt seem factory spring likes to be left with a full mag tube (which will pose a problem for me as this is my home defense gun).

A spring should not weaken by just being left compressed - even long term.
Continual compression and relaxation is what weakens them and even then load tube springs are not subjected to enough of this to affect them much.

My new Golden Boy does this. The inner tube of the magazine has an orange follower. On my the follower is stuck inside the tube. They are sending me a new tube. Hopefully that will fix it so I don't have to count shots.
