Youre very welcome. I’m 50, and my eyes are still fairly good, but the need for 1.25 reading glasses has started to hit (iPad time doesn’t help I’m sure). The .070 is about the smallest I found practical with the stock front sight. The .040 may work with a better front sight?

I am looking for a smaller diameter peep, any suggestions for size? If it is not raining or 30 degrees this weekend I will have to try them out.
Hope you’ve got lots of ammo. :D

congratulations .... just curious .... how many Henry rifles do you have now .. :?: .. you mentioned 5 in our How many ? thread, a very nice collection indeed .... looking forward to your continued use and range reports as you get to spend more time with each of them

This will make 6 rimfire rifles

Got my new skinner peep sight (.070) today, seems better than the .096 that came with the gun. Hope the weather holds for this weekend.

Will be interested to know how the .070 works for you as opposed to the stock .096! I have considered going to a smaller aperture.

Raining Saturday, went to range but too cold and miserable to stick around. 28 degrees and spitting snow Sunday so I stayed home and baked bread. Next week end supposed to be much better. Want to try the stuff I picked up over the winter.

Had a little time this morning and went out to the range to try these two rifles. Just put up some clay targets and put on the .070 sight on the carbine. Out of the box both guns were pretty spot on, at 50 yards held the front sights just at the base of the targets and was breaking clay consistently. Had a pretty good time and was glad I got the smaller aperture Skinner sight.

Thanks Ernie...good info since I just got a SGC. was wondering about the .070 aperture. Glad your results were good! Might like to like to tone it down from the stock .096.
