All rifles are different. But it's a pretty save bet that you will be happy with ANY Henry you buy.

Hell, My very first Henry purchase is a basic H001 classic. And it shoots Minute Of Squirrel's Head at 60 yards.

Bought a CZ after getting recommendations and I have not regretted it. Very nice shooting bolt action rifle. Came with .22 lR and .17 HMR barrels and I bought the .22 magnum barrel when it became available. After sighting in the scope with the LR I installed the .17 HMR barrel at the range and was very impressed at 50 and then 100 yards. What a great combination, I was having lots of fun with this CCI ammo putting 10 rounds in 2 - 2 1/2 inch groups. Did some shooting at 200 just for fun but could bust up some clay targets at that range. That is an impressive round, very flat shooting magnum ammo. I have a golden boy octagon barrel with the big lever in .17 HMR but have not put any rounds down range with it yet. Spent 6 years at a job that ate ALL my time and I plan on catching up some now that I am only working 45 hours week.

So many great options out there. Really not sure what tickles your fancy. Personally I have stuck with 22 LR as it just works best for me with regards to cost and keeping things simple. I actually decided to go with three different styles so far and I'm actually just getting around to considering what to do for a good bolt gun. Anyway I choose to go vintage because good old steel and wood appeals to me most and currently most of the options nowadays are some kind of alloy. However the one new one I decided to go with is still good old metal and wood just isn't engraved by hand any longer. So if your willing and it tickles your fancy you may want to consider something no longer being made.

Browning SA-22, Winchester 9422, and Remington 121. All chosen for various different reasons but starting out they were all good old steel and wood.

Thing is, you really need to find the one or ones that sing to you.

Of course I really can't take credit for it, but it does tend to work rather well for me. Finding what they are sometimes can take sometime but when I do it certainly is well worth whatever time it took.
