Custom H001

Post by badrat55 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 7:09 pm

Here's one of my H001s with a little different appearance.
I picked this thing up dirt cheap and in a fairly neglected condition, I then proceeded to strip the receiver and cover, brushed with 0000 scotchbrite (Renaissance wax afterwards to seal it), large loop lever and added a little extra furniture for a unique look.
I'm still not finished, im going to refinish the stock and give it a nice weathered appearance, along with some hand tooled leather here and there that I will also age for the well worn look

Yes sir, I normally do anyway, so it doesn't change my loading procedure much

Hey, Badrat.

What very cool 8-) customization skills you have at your fingertips. This H001 is sharp-looking, and I look forward to see the "weathered appearance" you plan to add.

Some time, whenever you have all your custom Henrys completed, a group photo would be most interesting, as well. ;) Do you consider customizing rifles to be your hobby along with shooting and/or hunting? If so, you do quite well at it. Thanks for your interesting post.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if it's possible to customize a rifle into an all-weather?

Thanks! I am what I like to call a chronic tinkerer lol
I can't leave anything alone.
I restore vintage motorcycles for a living and build ground up customs.
Be it motorcycles, Hot Rods, guns, woodworking etc. I like to mess with all of it.
Anything to make something unique or more efficient, I am all over it!
