Yup, I can return it to stock very easily for $60 for a new receiver cover and barrel band. The stock looks better than the original, and I highly doubt the linseed oil finish will devalue it significantly, not that I’d ever care. I’d never touch a 94 like this.

So Deana at Henry is sending me the correct sight via overnight courier. She said they should have sent a .500 the first time, and as an apology is also sending a T-shirt. If it arrives tomorrow I’ll be all smiles!

Glad my little pee shooter inspired you to do the job on yours!!!
It looks great!
I've been contemplating on going back to the brushed finish on mine, the polished look isn't doing it for me anymore lol
I'm never satisfied!

.
Brushed would be my preference too. Either way, you did excellent job bringing out the character in your wood.

Thanks badrat! I’m not sure I’d like mine polished either. It would look great obviously, but I was trying to capture the look of my 106 year old model 94, (its become a bit of a safe queen) which I think I did. How would you get the brushed look from where you are now? Acid etch, or media blast? I just love shooting the .22 Henry. It’s got the nicest action of all my lever guns by far.

I'll just hit it with a fine scotchbrite pad.
But I agree, I think the brushed I the way to go.
This is before the new wood, large loop and polish.
I want to go back to this look

That’s still factory finish on the stock though? At least you can see grain on that set. Mine was like mud it was so uniform.

I picked up the package from HRA this morning, and they sent me a 50G, and 48B to cover all bases, although the 48B is intended for Big Boys I think as the actual base is way bigger than the G models. I installed the 50G, and threw the 48 into my ever enlarging collection of useless front sights! You can see the size difference in the bottom right of the pic.

They did include an orange bonus...

I stripped the factory finish on both stocks that I have and did a Tru-oil finish.
Lots of beauty under the factory mud.
