Re: New SGC is Done!!
That's great news, Petey!! And are you spot on about its looks. You sure do have some very cool-looking wood furniture on your carbine....much more interesting patterns than what I have on my SGC. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally happy with mine. But you know, we always at times deal with "the grass that looks greener on the other side of the fence."
So all-around congrats! And not least, I totally agree with you that the Henry SGC is an exceptional shooter. Will look forward to your future range reports. Enjoy!

THanks ..... But don't think the grass is always greener....That there wood is the "fancy wood" option $$$. Although, I have seen Henry owners hit the wood lottery right out of the box.PT7 wrote:That's great news, Petey!! And are you spot on about its looks. That is some very impressive walnut, almost too nice. I get a bit nervous with such guns about scratching them, even though I only use them to target shoot. Glad to hear you're shooting yours, though. Be a shame not to.

Quite right .... To me ,a pretty gun that doesn't got shot is a crime .....besides , there's nothing better than a rifle that looks good and can back it all up with great performance....that's a winning hand!North Country Gal wrote:That is some very impressive walnut, almost too nice. Beautiful Furniture on that rifle. As NCG said, I would be worried about putting a scratch on it if it were mine.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
