My daughter saved her money for years for her first "bought it myself" rifle. She chose the silver .22. It is a pretty rifle. She was almost there and on her birthday, I gave her enough money to complete the purchase.
I was disappointed to find when I opened the safe the other day, that the barrel band had turned a dull grey. It looks like oxidized aluminum.
It's only been in there a couple months.
Has anyone else had this happen?

In follow up, Henry seemed surprised this happened. They sent a new barrel band without question. It took about 2 weeks to receive it.
