Henry H001L Carbine

Post by RanchRoper » Wed May 24, 2017 11:13 pm

Had the opportunity today in town to hold a new H001L large loop lever carbine, 16.5" barrel in .22LR. Holy cow is it light! Seemed like a nice handy little rifle. I'm not a fan of the large loop lever look, but it felt pretty good. Nice fit and finish. $469 Canadian. Nice rifle. Nope I did not buy it.... :)

But I always default back to "That's 469 x 45 Colt bullets I could buy."

I've recently bought a used H001L and I like it a lot. Can't say I like it better than my H001. I do like the look and feel of the big loop lever, though.

RR, you could save enough money in re-loading & casting bullets for the 45LC, to get that .22 carbine.

Yes I've been considering it.

I really like mine but the squirrels don't! I use the stock sights and under 50 yards its a deadly. I can honestly say you will not be disappointed if you decide to buy one.

Ah, but all you'd have at the end of your purchase would be 469 holes, whereas if you bought the H001L, you'd still have a nice little rifle at the end of it. ;)
