Congrats, on that Henry purchase, on the front sight of my goldenboy I put a dab of orange nail polish,
seems to work pretty well. You might try it as a test of easier sight acquisition.

"John Wayne's favorite semi-auto rifle was a M1 Carbine" --- Mine too, so the 10/22 model I chose was
the Talo M1 edition, w/genuine walnut stock, peep sight, military front sight, and 15 round magazine.

My Henry will outshoot the Ruger.

Don't forget the Marlin 60.
Yep - probably one of the best 'underrated' .22s of all - never owned one but shot a few and they are great.

I own one. Made sometime in the 80s. Mine holds 18 rounds in the tube plus one in the chamber. I think the ones produced now hold 15+1.

+1 on the Marlin 60's. I have a wood 60 with stainless barrel and a black composite one. Still enjoy the Henry H001t more. :D
