The Small Game Carbine......
I have thoughts of getting a .22 lever rifle and am drawn to the 22LR Small Game Carbine that Henry is offering.
Anyone here have one and how do you like it? Hopefully they will ship some out soon. Now if they could offer it in CCH that would be great!

Which Barrel length are you looking at Forty. I have one in the shorter barrel length and love it. But I also have the older version that came out with the big loop lever and buckhorn sights. I like it as well. Both guns have actions smooth as silk. The skinner sight is nice on the newer one. I have one in 22 mag as well.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I was looking at the 16.5 inch Carbine like the you have. Currently I have in .22 LR...Henry Pump, Heritage Arms SA revolver and the S&W Victory.
I think the Henry SG Carbine would fit in nicely!

The SGC has a nice balance to it. I prefer them over other versions of the H001 for offhand shooting with iron sights. Scoped or benchrest makes them lose some of that balance advantage.

I went the opposite direction. I first had the SGC and then got a new Ruger single ten to pair up with it.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 9:45 pmI was looking at the 16.5 inch Carbine like the you have. Currently I have in .22 LR...Henry Pump, Heritage Arms SA revolver and the S&W Victory.

Love mine. Shoots better than I can. Eats any ammo I feed it.

Re: The Small Game Carbine......
Don't have the Henry version, but I do have a Winchester 9422M bought new in 1973, that I'd put up against any of the Henry offerings. Everyone needs at least one good small game rifle.

Had a friend with one of those, smooth as my little Henry, and accurate.

I have a SGC with the Skinner sights and large loop and love it. Good balance and shoots great. Also have the Winchester that I bought last summer. It cycles very well but I have not shot it yet because of the range being closed.
