Is it possible the lever is slightly bent?
Good point.
You might want to take some time and look at your lever in relation to how far it 'closes' - It's possible all you may have to do is slightly 'relax' the bend of the lever to not close as far.

Jkrijt, do you have the large loop lever?
Yes, I have the large loop lever
shootinthecinders wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 4:43 pm
The reason I ask is the large loop is on my SGC and I could firmly clamp the lever to the stock without it impinging on the trigger. Is it possible the lever is slightly bent? It just seems unusual that everything was working good before and now it’s not.
I don't know. It may be bent but that would be strange because I handle it very careful

Maybe HRA would send you a new lever rather than removing material off the trigger, small amount as it is. Best of luck in returning it to acceptable working order.
Sending it to Henry and back will take a long time because I live in the Netherlands. I would rather keep it here. Maybe I just leave it as it is now, with my simple low tech solution. I have some lever action matches comming that I don't want to miss.

It might have been this way FROM the factory and never properly fitted. It wouldn't be the first I have seen.

OP suggested maybe Henry would send a new lever to YOU - with no need to send the rifle back.

Mistered, thanks for clearing that up. I haven’t set notifications for this forum and sometimes miss replies.
Jkrijt, I’m glad that you found a solution that works. It still can’t hurt anything to request a new lever from HRA. They’ve provided some amazing, above and beyond service for their customers.

After I met the Dutch Henry importers at a shooting match, they took care of my problem. New parts are ordered at Henry and are now waiting for customs clearance.

Great news jkrijt. Care to share the fix and which parts are coming your way?
