Nothing wrong with printing our own targets! Maybe next time take pictures before attempting to take down soggy targets. Ok? Anyway, happy for you and John on your shooting day!

.. I made my own targets .... printed them out on 8.5 X 11" regular paper .... had to staple them onto cardboard the range provided .... the cardboard was then stapled to boards at the various distances .... by the time I'd walk back down to put up new targets the old ones were so soggy that they came all apart when trying to remove them from the cardboard .... I fired 160 rounds .... a some at 25 yds, most at 50 yds, and some at 100 yds .... every round fired would have hit well within the kill zone of a deer but the groups were way too large .... hopefully the results next week will be better

Well soggy or not you had some fun! Talking about soggy.... the area around my 80 yd. gong looks like a mud pit and another 1-2 inch of rain again this weekend!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Had to jump in, Mark. Quite familiar with your Elmhurst area. Raised in Maywood and lived there about 20 years. Last sojourn in IL ended 2012. Lived about 7 years a little farther north in Deerfield, and ended up final 3 years in Bolingbrook and Lisle (worked at Benedictine Univ). Lots of Windy City burbs concentrated in that area for sure.
BTW, I don't miss the traffic in the least. Good place to
leave. KCMO suits me quite well now in retirement years.

I know Elmhurst quite well, I worked at a dealership out there and my siblings live out in Glendale heights and Lombard.
