Chiappa is 'technically' the name of the founder of the company originally founded as Armi Sport and makes their own firearms.

They make quite a few guns - Some good - some not so good.

You could handle it no problem. The case mouths are thin and there isnt a carbide die available that Im aware of for resizing. But I have loaded them before. Great round and I had fun with it. Had a RCBS bullet die at one time for it 215 gr. It was a die Mike Venturino had and he shot black powder with his. tried the load myself and it was very accurate. Kinda fun with the BP as the sound of black is alot different than smokeless.

I 'might' someday be reloading .44-40 if an 'original' replica Navy Arms Henry crosses my path!

Lack of a carbide sizing die would not be a detractor. Loaded LOTS of rounds prior to ever having them and I wouldn't be loading so many of them I would need the 'speed'' of carbide. Lots of good spray lubes now that are water soluble and are quick and easy!
