Not pro. Just a smart phone. I have the photo booth set up for my other hobby (O Scale).....

But, before this thread gets hijacked and goes off on tangent,

The good news is that one of my local gun shops finally has some .44 mag in stock.

The bad news is one box per caliber per day.....

Guess it looks I have plans every night this week....😉
Well, you certainly have an eye for photography. Glad you found some .44. What brand, etc.?

What does that 44 mag ammo sell for a box.

Thanks Gunny. I'm glad too. I've been itching to get a range report on my modified scope mount and zero the scope in. I have next week off work so I'll tell you how works.

BigAl,

I've been happy with Hornady (9085) Custom XTP 240gr JHP. Usually I can get boxes for $19-$22 but these were $26. Tonight they were out so I figured I would take a look at Federal Fusion 240gr bonded JSP. $28. Definitely pricier, but not too intolerable a mark up. This place has a pretty active indoor range and decent membership size. (I am not a member) but the sales rep behind a long counter glass full off polymer and autos seemed pleased to find a lever and wheel gun customer. He has my info now and knows what I'm looking for.

Yesterday I was nearer than usual to one of the lgs's that sells supplies, (hour away)usually.
They were decently stocked, quite a few primers, I didn't really look at exactly as I have a decent supply at the moment.
Did pick up a box of 147 gr xtp's to try in the Solo.
My buddy picked up a Ruger P95 at a pretty good deal.
Always has quite a few Henrys also.

Headed North to meet some friends for lunch today in Naperville. Passed through Plainfield on the way. Stopped at a place called Mega Sports. I'd never heard of them. Very nice shop. Loaded with inventory of all kinds. Rifles, handguns, accessories, holsters, and ammunition. They practically had a wall full of Henrys. It was Interesting to see how much larger proportionally the X Model 45-70 is next to some other Henrys.

Full wall of self serve ammunition too. They had a great supply of .44 Magnum to choose from. Oddly, several shelves had signs to the effect of ".40 & .45 Limit 2 boxes" or "9mm Limit one box" etc. But no such sign by the .44 Mag.

So I asked one of the helpful store keeps and he said. ".44 Magnum? Nope, no limit. There are baskets over there...."

Well did I say they had a great supply of .44 Magnum?

I should say they HAD a great supply of .44 Magnum!

I cleaned out their Hornady 9083 Handgun Hunter, Hornady Leverevolution, and Federal Fusion bonded JSP.

I left the few handful of boxes of Federal Premium and PMC Bronze for the next guy. 😉

Needless to say I'll have enough for a while now and finally feel comfortable heading out to the range this week.

Very nice store to visit for anyone in the west and southwest suburbs.

Wife saw this sign on a gate on social media, "Due to the ammo shortage, I can no longer afford to fire a warning shot. Thank you for your understanding."

:D

Felt the hankering to shoot the place up with some 7.62x39. Stopped in the LGS and to my surprise they had the Wolf/Barnul for $7 a box with a 10 bx limit. Score!
I'm storing my un-opened cases of ammo until this ammo crisis is over. I'll pick up a few boxes, then burn it up. Good day at the Moe ranch.

Good sign. I have the same thing on my ammo cabinet.
