Shot my Bond Arms Rough and Rowdy today with Winchester 2-1/2" PDX1 410 defender ammo today off hand one handed. It smarted a little but was not too bad. Shot 4 rounds and was surprised with the accuracy at 15 yards. Just shot at some clay targets so I don't have a target to show. This ammo has 3 discs and 12 BBs, would not like to be in front of this gun. Will have to get some kind of holster for carry purposes.
I shoot 2 1/2” in mine also.

Edit: I have the 3” and 2 1/2” barrels along with a .22LR and a 38/357.

I haven’t shot these in years. I don’t like how the trigger pulls down and not back.

Found a holster sold by Bond Arms at Bucksnort Outfitters. BAD drivers holster, smooth lined, 3" for the Rowdy. Little pricey at $110 but they look like they conceal well and I wanted something better than just shoving the gun in my pocket. Will show a pic when it gets here probably next week. Did you get a holster CGF?
Sorry, it seems I hijacked your post.
No, that's fine, post away. It's nice to just keep a thread going.

No, no holster yet. I'll be interested in seeing the one that you got.

In the meantime, I bought some 200 Grain HSM 45 LC's, but haven't tried them yet.

Ernie,

I had a BAD for my BASS IV. You're right. A little spendy as a lot of BA accessories are, but it is quality leather and top-notch construction. I carried on the belt in a right hand cross-draw position. Would have liked more of a holster cant bringing the grip upward, but it was what it was. One suggestion. A strong belt is needed as the derringers are heavy dudes. You don't want it to pull the belt away too much for CCW.

This was my set up. Hope you like yours.

When I shot mine, I didn't notice any difference. I really like the idea of a trigger guard though. I notice that you have both. I'll have to pay a little more attention next time if I can see a difference, but so far it never even crossed my mind.

Nice looking collection you have there. Like the Grips.

Where did you get the sleeve for your grip? Seems it might help take the sting out a bit, I can still feel a bit in the pad of my thumb.

It's a Hogue Wrap Around Grip and got mine from BA. Here is their web link. https://www.bondarms.com/shop/grips/hog ... /#descPane

I finally got to try some of the 200 Grain HSM 45 LC's in my Rowdy on Saturday.

They weren't a big difference, but yet a nicer difference (in comparison to the American Eagle 225's).

Although I will put both to good use, I believe I'll be sticking to the HSM's. They did smoke more like I read somewhere that they would. True to the Cowboy loads of the old days, lol.

my holster and cartridge holder for my Rowdy. Cartridge holder for 30 06, is a little long but works for me. Found 2 shells fit in the watch pocket of my jeans very comfortably.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
