They run the database of legal handgun owners every day looking for any red flags.

What are some examples of say 'minimal' issues that can become 'red flags' in an owners database?

I am not sure. But I think any kind of issue where the cops pay you a visit would put you on the radar. An arrest or conviction of any kind for sure would move you to a different gun owner list I think. When you try to re-new your gun license you might have a problem.

I have been watching this closely. From the looks of it I think they may fail to implement this law on July 1. For one, It is supposed to be an instant background check. I don't think they will be able to meet that criteria. Take a good look at the CA DMV. I can't see them running this any better. I for one will be doing some stocking up just in case.
