I bought two boxes of these in 357 mag for my BBSC but haven’t tried them yet. Guess I need to rectify that situation and report my results.

They're the same for .41mag, but that's a pistol caliber.

I guess I never really understood the 'concept' of LE ammo.

I mean I know the reason for it - it was developed for hunting and the flex spire point bullet is intended to increase range while being safe in a tube feed system but if one is not hunting why use it ?

I highly doubt the increased range is all that much and it seems more report poor accuracy than good so why not just find a good load or quality traditional factory ammo that shoots accurately and stick with it?

When Hornady first came out with the polymer tip, it was subject to aerodynamic heating above Mach1 and subsequent melting/deforming in flight. Which gained it a deserved reputation for poor accuracy. They did fix that within a year or so, but the reputation remained. Partly because there was still a lot of the old stuff out there in use, and maintaining consistency of the polymer tip generally (weight & concentricity) is difficult. Here's a article about that and related:

Not surprising that they would size some cases differently, and not on others, depending on caliber. :)

Without measuring, they appear to be the same length in 357 magnum.

According to Hornady's Handbook of Cartridge Reloading, 9th Edition, the case trim length for their .357 magnum 140 gr. FTX bullets is 1.240 "due to the longer ogive" of those bullets. For these bullets the C.O.L is 1.585.

The case length for all other .357 magnum bullets is 1.280-1.290 with a C.O.L. of 1.59.
