Has anybody shot any Underwood ammo? I'm looking specifically at the 120 grain 357 mag xtreme hunter. Looking to use this round for white tail deer in my bbs. Thanks

Don't know about .357, but I've used their .41mag 210gr xtp for a number of years in my Blackhawk w/o any problems, but it gave me some serious extraction problems in my Henry Carbine. I think due to higher pressures generated in the Henry, at least that's what the spent cases seemed to indicate.

Last summer I got a box of the Underwood Xtreme Penetrator 140gr ammo with FPS @ 1550. Planned to try it for a deer-hunting round in a BBS .357 Carbine, but never did. I had rifle problems and Henry bought it back. Interesting that the first couple of reviews on the Underwood web site are by people who shot this ammo out of a Henry. https://www.underwoodammo.com/collectio ... ct-reviews

I do plan to test this ammo in my Remington .357 Magnum revolver (Uberti replica).
Possibly could be used for shorter range (40-50 yards) deer hunting.

Sorry I couldn't provide more specific info on how it shoots.
