Vanderbrink talks ammo & primers in new video

This is mostly for y'all reloaders - Federal, CCI, Speer, and Remington primers won't be sold until the company satisfies their factory ammo demand. Not good news, but it is what it is. I suspect it's the same with the rest of the industry.

Thanks. More money in ammo than primers, I suspect?

That may be part of it. But everyone needs ammo, including the military, and all the various govt agencies & LEO at all levels that go thru hundreds of millions of rounds annually, and you've got to have primers to make ammo. Those contracts take priority. Civilian ammo and primers to roll your own take a back seat.

For example, the USMC stands at approx 186,000 trigger pullers at the moment, and every single one is required to qualify annually with rifle and/or pistol. That means a minimum of 100 rds per individual annually - not counting operations, T&E, live fire exercises, and general infantry training. The low ball estimate is 18,600,000 rnds annually just for the Corps, and is probably 3 or 4 times that in reality.
