Had a bunch of 357 mag ammo, and no gun
Recently I traded my last 357 mag revolver and had 456 rounds of 357 & 796 rounds of 38 reloaded ammo left. Being that reloaded ammo is pretty much worthless I did what only seemed right.....I bought a Henry 357. It should arrive later this week, and I am looking forward to it.

Smart move. Send a pick when you get it.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Will do.
The reloads that I have are all 158gr LSWC. From what I'm reading here so far, it seems most members like FMJ, anything I'll need to watch out for shooting them in the Henry?

Just make sure they will cycle before you load a bunch up. Some of the Henrys are oal sensitive

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I am going to need luck on my side then as they are all loaded and my son has the re-loading equipment on the other side of the country.

If they feed and bullet is of a hard cast type they should shoot well. All I shoot in now in 38/357 is cast lead bullets.

1.590 is sammi spec. Those should cycle just fine provided the swc design will run through youre particular gun. If nothing else you can shoot them one at a time.

My 180 gr. cast Magnum load measures 1.585 and feed fine with the flat nose. Those little cherry bombs pack a punch!beaverislander wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 8:52 amI'm glad to hear that, these are 1.57".
