Sledge Hammer Meets Cast Iron Tub.

Post by Mags » Mon Sep 10, 2018 10:59 pm

Gutting the bathroom. First things first 500lb tub has got to go.
My .30-30 wouldn't work on this type of cast iron.
So 16lb sledge hammer meets the cast iron tub.
Beat on it through an old shower curtain to contain flying porcelain glass like shards coming off of the cast iron.

In anticipation I thought it would be fun. Turned out to be way harder than I thought (youtube made it look easy). It was one made like they used to make them. 50+yrs old. I sorta hated to bust it up, but at 500 lbs yellow, narrow doors and hallway to get through, busting it up was best.
