I'm good! Been so busy here, I have been repairing walls and painting a room. It will be used for working out / tv night. Pictures to come soon.
The enclosed porch is next....

Whew!!! The painting and mudding is done in that room. Threw out most of the furniture and other garbage. Time to clean, and lay down the new work out floor!!!!

Very nice photos, Dahliathemeh. If you don't mind this question, what year was your home built? From the window and door frames, plus plaster workings, it looks like an older build. We had a 1908 two-story frame in KS, and I did a lot of similar work in that house. What I really like in your photos is the wood trim, especially the slightly-curved head trimmer of the two doors. Our head trimmers were straight-lined with turn-of-the-century starburst patterns at each top corner. The older homes sure had beautiful wood with exquisite character. I like yours. BTW, cool doorknobs with locks that look like they would take skeleton keys. That's what we used on our front door!

Good job...looking forward to progress and pics of your enclosed porch. That should be a good workout, too! :)

My home is a classic Chicago bungalow. It was built in the early to mid 20's. All the wood trim is original, and never been painted! We even have the original colums with shelves separating the living room and dining room. If you look closely at the doors, you'll see the hinges look like claws or leaves. Whenever any work is done here rule 1 is the wood is not to be touched unless by me, and we replace things here with original hardware as much as possible. I'm kind of weird that way.
