Glad you chose the rifle! ( not that I don't like the carbine ). Congratulations! I scoped mine too.
Forgive me; not trying to put a bummer on things. Maybe it's just the pick, but are the butt stock and recoil pad not meeting up as good as they should?
Anyway....you're gonna love it!!

No bummer on things, noticed that myself. It does show up more in the pic than just eyeballing it but the fit is not as good as it could be.markiver54 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 4:06 pmGlad you chose the rifle! ( not that I don't like the carbine ). Congratulations! I scoped mine too.

Funny, the born on date on the tag shows March 2018. The wrap paper was unmolested so today is the first time the rifle saw the light of day since it was packaged at Henry. Ordered my mount today and Henry has already provided a tracking number. Two day USPS should put it in my hands be Saturday. Now that’s service!

Great to hear dog!
Did you go with the Talley one piece mount. It's a nice one and does not require lapping of rings. Matter of fact, lapping that one voids the Talley warranty.

I ordered the picatinny mount. I have one on my 327 big boy using the same scope and with low rings it just barely clears the rear sight. Keeps me from having to remove the sight.markiver54 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:15 pmGreat to hear dog!

Re: Big Boy Steel, carbine or rifle
The mount showed up yesterday as expected and I will be getting my scope mounted today. Planning a trip to the range tomorrow to sight in and get first shots in with the new rifle. Got a couple of other rifles to work out so should be a great morning at the range.
