Im no barrel expert but those look like what they call chatter marks. Im not even sure of the cause. Have you shot the gun and if so how does it shoot.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have shot it and after a few rounds it shoots patterns. It may be going back to Henry again. I sent an email off to Anthony to day so we will see.

I have scoped Henry's that looked worse than that barrel. I have a Frontier 22 LR that looks worse than that and shoots great. If you think that one looks bad scope a Marlin Micro-groove.

I agree with you Bandit it is not how it looks but how it shoots.

I have been self isolating for the past couple of weeks because of a china virus scare of an inconclusive test and a sore throat. I have had a lot of time on my hands and was taking another look at the barrel on my BBS. At first when I was looking at the muzzle I was concentrating on the cut lines and didn't see the fact that the rifling actually takes a twist at the very end. I thought it was an optical allusion but as you can see in the top left pic it makes a tighter turn. When i slugged the bore it would get very tight right at the muzzle and come out a little distorted.

I finally went down to UPS and sent it back to Henry. I hope third time is a charm.
