You don't need to over pay. Emotional purchases come at a cost. The fact that you're questioning makes me think you already know what your answer is. Models will be available. Chew on it a little longer. I believe you'll be happier in then end that you did, confident you made the right choice.

Update on my model X, I've been told by the dealer that it is unlikely the rifle will be here until possibly January 2021!
So frustrating!!

Yeah, I settled for a Big Boy Steel for now and will pursue an X when “normal” returns.....(whatever that is )
