Finally

HBB steel 357 finally got here yesterday. Went to range today and shot 50 rounds of 357/158gr to get used to the rifle. Then 20 rounds each of 38 special, 2 different 158gr and 125gr. All shot great with no issues. Wow, is this fun to shoot. I need to adjust the rear sight as everything was on the right side of the target.

Factory ammo. Not for hunting, needed a rifle to go with my 357/38 handguns.

looking forward to your coming range reports and use impressions .... just as a side note, there is a long standing concern with firing 38's in a 357 .... that being a burnt powder buildup at tip of the shorter 38 brass which can impede smooth chambering of a longer 357 round

357 is a great choice for a levergun. I enjoy mine every time I take them to the range.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Congrats on your new .357/.38 Henry! You'll be enjoying that one. Also agree with what JEBar said about carbon build-up. But, with a good cleaning, you will be good. .38spl's are like a .22lr out of my Henry. Enjoy!

Congrats GTGeorge on that new .357 BBS ! That .357 rifle is a great shooter as I too have found.
Do you have a SA revolver in .357 to buddy up with it? Mine eats up the .38 Specials with no problems and I do give the chamber a clean up.
A few pictures if you get a chance!

I have a Ruger Blackhawk 357 that I also shoot 38. What I do is alternate between the two on range trips. I am aware of the issue with a steady diet of 38. The reason I bought the HBB 357 was to go with my Blackhawk and my 38 revolver.
